This succulent doesn't like to be overwatered, so I prefer using special cactus/succulent mix as soil, because it doesn't hold moisture as long as normal soil. I water it only if the soil is dry and I water it with the addiction of fertilizer once a month.
I make sure to give it about 4-6 hours of bright light a day, but protect it from the scorching light in the afternoon.
